Background Scenes for Unseen

 

I recently got a touchscreen, and I decided that I would do all the art for Unseen with it. While it was a pretty cheap screen (tension-based), and I had to undo all my lines about ten times, I did eventually get some really good art out of it.

 

While most of the art in the main game will be dynamically generated (to support easier runtime editing tools, and for a closer correspondence to the polygonal collision base), there will also be a series of cutscenes for story progression and atmosphere. I've completed two already - the introduction scene, and the main menu background.

 

There was definitely a learning curve, as these were the first two scenes I ever did in this fashion. Everything is hand-drawn, and layered into sprites appropriately.
